Rivet Invoice terms
Last updated August 24, 2026These terms apply when you install or use Rivet Invoice. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
Rivet Invoice provides local tools for creating invoices and estimates, generating exports, and manually tracking payment status. Version 0.4.1 is offered free of charge and without a required account. Features may change in later releases, but Rivet will not intentionally lock you out of documents you already created without providing a reasonable export path.
Your records and responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, tax treatment, delivery, retention, and backup of the records you create. Review every invoice or estimate before sending it. Keep independent copies where your business or local law requires them.
No professional advice
Rivet Invoice is a document tool, not an accounting, bookkeeping, tax, legal, compliance, or filing service. Flexible tax labels and calculations do not guarantee that a document meets every requirement in your jurisdiction. Consult a qualified professional when needed.
Payments and third-party services
Rivet does not process payments or hold funds. Any checkout URL, payment instruction, storage provider, sharing destination, or external website you choose is a third-party service governed by its own terms, fees, security, and privacy practices. You are responsible for confirming payments with that provider before marking an invoice paid.
Acceptable use
Do not use Rivet Invoice to create unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, infringing, or harmful material, or to interfere with the app, its distribution, or another person's systems or rights.
Availability, offline use, and data loss
The hosted app needs a network connection for its first visit and any release assets that are not yet cached. After installation and caching, the local workspace is designed to remain usable offline, but external checkout pages, websites, and cloud sharing destinations still depend on their own services and connectivity. Local storage can be lost through device failure, browser or app-data clearing, uninstallation, corruption, or user error. Use the built-in backup and export tools regularly. No software can be guaranteed error-free or continuously available.
Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rivet Invoice is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. The developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the app, third-party services, or loss of locally stored records. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that applicable consumer law does not allow to be limited.
