Rivet Invoice support
Professional invoices and estimates, without the monthly tab. Rivet's local workspace, branding, PDF designs, payment records, and backups are free to use with no required account.
Set up a workspace
On first launch, add your business name, email, preferred currency, and optional logo. Rivet starts empty: only the clients, saved items, and documents you create are stored. Version 0.4.1 can keep multiple business profiles in one local workspace. Open Settings to add, switch, edit, or remove an unused profile; the active profile supplies the defaults for new paperwork.
Use Rivet offline
The hosted app needs a connection on its first visit. After the PWA is installed and the current release assets are cached, the local workspace is designed to open and create paperwork offline. The Android app packages the same workspace assets. Checkout links, the optional Estimator website, and any cloud destination chosen from a share menu still require their own network connection. Clearing browser/app data or uninstalling can remove the local workspace, so keep a recent JSON backup.
Brand your paperwork
Open Settings to upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP logo up to 2 MB, add an optional signature image up to 1 MB, choose an accent colour, and select from ten original PDF designs. Save your changes before creating the next document.
Move to a new device
- Open Settings and choose Download backup.
- Move the JSON file to the new device using a secure method.
- Open Settings there and choose Restore from backup.
- Review the restore summary, download a safety copy of the current workspace if needed, then confirm replacement.
Send or record a payment
Add offline payment instructions or your own HTTPS checkout link in Settings or on an invoice. The link opens the external checkout page at that URL; Rivet does not process the transaction or learn whether it succeeded. Use Record payment to enter partial or full payments manually.
Attachments and exports
Each document can store up to three PDF, PNG, JPEG, or WebP attachments of 768 KB each. Attachments stay with the local record; they are not merged into the generated invoice PDF or added to that PDF's share action. PDFs, CSV files, JSON backups, browser print previews, Android system print jobs, and Android share actions are created only when you request them.
Keep records safely
Rivet stores its workspace locally. Export periodic JSON backups and retain your invoice PDFs according to the recordkeeping rules that apply to your business. Backups can contain confidential business and client information, so store them securely.
Delete local data
A business profile with paperwork attached cannot be removed on its own, which keeps those records reachable under the right business. To erase the whole installation, open Settings and choose Delete local data. Confirming permanently removes every profile, logo, signature, saved item, client, document, attachment, and payment record from that installation. Download a backup first if you may need those records later.
