Rivet Invoice privacy

Last updated August 24, 2026

Rivet Invoice is designed to work without an account or Rivet-operated backend. Your business profiles, logos, signatures, saved items, clients, estimates, invoices, attachments, and manually recorded payments are stored in the app's local workspace on your device.

What the app sends

The app does not automatically send Rivet your invoice contents, client details, business records, logo, signature, attachments, or payment history. Version 0.4.1 contains no advertising, behavioural-analytics, crash-reporting, cloud-sync, email-delivery, or payment-processing SDK.

Loading the hosted web app still requires ordinary web requests. The hosting provider may process standard request information, such as an IP address and browser headers, to deliver and protect the site. Rivet Invoice does not attach the contents of your local workspace to those requests.

Exports, printing, and sharing

PDFs, CSV exports, JSON backups, print previews, and share actions are created only when you request them. Once you share or store an exported file outside Rivet Invoice, the receiving app, device, service, or person applies its own privacy practices.

Payments and external links

You may add offline payment instructions or your own HTTPS checkout URL to an invoice. Rivet does not process funds, receive card details, verify a provider-side payment, or act as merchant of record. Opening a checkout or Rivet Estimator link leaves the app; the destination provider's privacy and security practices apply. Only payments you enter manually are recorded in Rivet Invoice.

Retention, backup, and deletion

Your workspace remains in local app storage until you delete it, clear the app's storage, uninstall it, or confirm a restore that replaces it. A business profile with paperwork attached is kept so those records remain reachable and retain their saved business identity. Settings → Delete local data removes all business profiles, brand images, saved items, clients, documents, attachments, and payment history from that installation. A downloaded backup or exported file is a separate copy and must be deleted wherever you stored it.

Android operating-system automatic app backup is disabled for the packaged app. Use Rivet's explicit JSON backup when you want a portable copy, and protect that file because it can contain business and client information.

Permissions and children

Rivet Invoice does not request contacts, location, camera, microphone, advertising ID, phone, SMS, calendar, or nearby-device permissions. Native file, share, and print features write a requested export to app-controlled temporary storage before handing it to the destination or Android print service you choose. Rivet Invoice is a business tool and is not directed to children.

Changes and contact

If a later release adds accounts, automatic transmission, analytics, diagnostics, sync, email delivery, or Rivet-operated checkout, this policy and the relevant store disclosures will be reviewed before release. For privacy or support questions, email support@rivetestimator.ca.
